Dissertation

Requirements

  • Only PhD students whose paper has been accepted to the EAUH conference, are registered and have paid the conference fee can submit the presentation of their dissertations based on original research and related to urban history, architecture and urban planning.
  • Presentation of dissertation must be written in English.
  • The summary of dissertation should include the research objectives, methodology and partial conclusions.
  • The lenght of the disseration presentation is 7,000 words at maximum.
  • Theses should be submitted with the recommendation of the supervisor/mentor.

How to apply

After you have registered for the conference and paid registration fee, you can send an email to  to apply for the award selection.

Please indicate student prize – dissertation in the subject line of your e-mail.

Deadline pro sending your application is 15th August 2024.

There will be one winning entry primarily depicting the period up to 1900, and a second winning entry for events after 1900.

Conference Paper

Requirements

  • The conference paper must be written by a MA/PhD student.
  • The conference paper must be written in English.
  • The conference paper must be accepted in the EAUH 2024 programme.
  • The conference paper should be based on original research, innovative.
  • The length of the conference paper is 5,000 words at maximum.

How to apply

After you have registered for the conference and paid registration fee, you can send an email to  to apply for the award selection.

Please indicate student prize – paper in the subject line of your e-mail.

Deadline pro sending your application is 15th August 2024.

Four best conference papers will be selected, one for pre-1900 history and three for post-1900 history.

The award in both competitions comes with a financial reward and will be presented at the closing ceremony on Friday 6 September 2024.
